The College is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (A.I.C.T.E) and affiliated to the Anna University, Chennai–25. It can be proudly stated that many engineers pass out every year from various branches from the college. It is a self-financing institution which brings out well-qualified, talented engineers.

Established during the academic year 2001–02 for systematic transformation of the students into highly motivated graduates with professional competence, the college functions under the aegis of Jaya Educational Trust, Thiruninravur, Chennai, founded by Prof. A. Kanagaraj. This institution is one of the pioneering technical institutions in this part of the country.

This college has become the cynosure of aspiring young minds seeking excellence in knowledge and exposure in all aspects. The unique character of this institution is its constant and continuous perseverance for perfection in all disciplines.

The college is located in Kanchipadi village near Thiruvallur, well known for its undisturbed, unpolluted, calm and serene atmosphere. Situated on a sprawling 26-hectare campus, the institution is well connected by road and rail and stands as one of the foremost centres of professional education in Tamil Nadu.
