Establishment Journey

Jaya College of Engineering and Technology started in the year 2000 – 2001 at Poonamallee, Chennai to Bangalore Bypass Road, and Thiruvallur District under the auspices of Jaya Educational Trust which is a registered Telugu Minority Institution. The trust renders philanthropic and educational service to linguistic people living in rural areas bordering Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.

The main objective of the Trust is to foster quality technical and higher education, research and training in rural areas in various branches of science and technology and simultaneously inculcate among the youth a sense of discipline so that they can be moulded into competent and talented engineers.

College offers undergraduate programmes in Engineering and Technology. Every department has its own well-equipped laboratory. All the modern laboratories provide an outstanding facility for learning engineering skills that are required for engineers of present day.

The college provides dormitory housing for students at affordable rates. Although stress is put on improving the standards of education, the college also encourages involvement with the community, serving people and enhancing social consciousness on a charitable basis.

The College is located at Poonamallee at a distance of about 10 km from Koyambedu on the Chennai – Bangalore National Highway and is about 1 kilometer from Poonamallee Bus Stand.
